The Best Creamy Goat Cheese Dip

What you need to make baked goat cheese dip

Goat cheese is obviously an essential ingredient for this dip. When picking out your goat cheese it is important that you choose a mild, high quality cheese. There are a lot of different kinds of goat cheese out there and with a quick google search you can find the perfect choice for your recipe. For this specific recipe I chose to use Vermont Creamery Original Goat Cheese.

Sour cream + Heavy cream this was my personal touch and change from a traditional goat cheese dip because it adds a more mild flavor to this cheesy appetizer. Usually Crème Fraîche is used in a baked goat cheese dip, however this using sour cream and heavy cream is a less expensive and more accessible option.

Parmesan cheese adds just the right depth of flavor to this cheesy baked goat cheese dip. Ensure that your parmesan is finely grated, to achieve this I used parmigiano reggiano and hand grated it myself with a fine cheese grater.

Tips for making creamy goat cheese dip

To achieve the ULTIMATE creamy goat cheese dip I recommend using a food processor, this makes your life so much easier. You can still achieve a very creamy goat cheese dip by hand it just takes a bit longer. To make it a bit easier let your goat cheese sit out for about an hour or until its roughly room-temperature.

Wait until the goat cheese dip is fully baked and let it broil for about 2-4 minutes or until its crispy and toasty on top. If you want to make this ahead of time, let the unbaked dip sit in its dish until you’re ready to bake it, then follow the same baking instructions in the recipe.

Serve your baked goat cheese dip with ALL the things! Top your cheesy appetizer with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and blistered tomatoes and serve it with toasty baguette, veggies, crackers and all the yummy things. Read further to see how I like to serve mine.

How to serve your goat cheese dip

Bread whether it’s toasted or not bread is a great and delicious base to serve this creamy goat cheese dip. I like to go for a classic baguette with a light flavor to let the goat cheese POP!

Crackers can vary on so many levels, I like to use a hard cracker like a panzanella cracker for example. Another fun option is a breadstick cracker, it's simple and super fun to dip and bite into.

Veggies are a delicious dipping option, they add an even fresher element for the baked goat cheese dip to resonate with. My favorite dipping options are carrots, broccoli and snap peas. Experiment and create your own combos!

Fruit may not sound like the most typical thing to dip into a creamy goat cheese dip but OMG it is a melody singing in your mouth! Some of my favorite fruity dipping instruments are sliced pears, apples and grapes. The salty-sweet combo is beautiful.
